There’s something about tomorrow
I don’t know what it is
Maybe it’s because I call and it never answers.
Patience.
I Wait.
Like a wave yearning to break,
To curl, unfurl, crumble and reach the shore.
It leaves me wondering, guessing,
What tomorrow’s doing
Where it’s going, who it will bring,
I sit and I wait.
I watch the horizon.
I wait for the water to rise and breach
But tomorrow never comes.
So I guess I’ll stick to now,
For as sudden and passive as it actually is,
It’s the only wave I ever really need.
