The No Shoes No Worries guide to Hawaii with The Upside

I had the incredible opportunity to visit Hawaii with some of the girls from the Mentawai’s trip last month. It’s something that’s been on my list for quite a long time, and lucky me, I got to see every little nook and crany of these incredible islands with some equally incredible locals.

From the north shore of Oahu to the Na Pa Li coastline and those pristine white sand beaches, there wasn’t a day that didn’t start at the crack of dawn and finish long after dusk.

And since this magical string of islands is all about being active, it was only fitting that I had the appropriate activewear that would stay on and move with me. The Upside ticked all those boxes and more, with their latest swim & yoga collection

The Upside moves with me in Hawaii

From hikes to dives, there wasn’t any activity The Upside pieces couldn’t keep up with. With their new surf, swim and yoga gear, it really feels like I was prepared for it all.

The prints are some of The Upside’s classic favourites — bold statement pieces mixed with subtle lines of class and style. Their signature leopard and camouflage print helped me blend in, yet stand out all at once.

My Favourite Go To Spots in Kauai & Oahu

Kaua’i

Where to begin, Kaua’i. Your coastline is unique, your adventures, never ending. From diving with sea turtles and dolphins, to hiking trails with world class views worthy of the next Jurassic park movie. If you go to Kauai, make sure to pack lots of snacks, not only because food tends to be that little more expensive, but mostly because you’ll be needing a constant fuel of energy throughout the day!

Some highlights include :

Queen’s Bath

Koke Hike

Na Pali Coastline

Grabbing a Green Juice at Akamai Juice Company in Hanalei

Shopping at Aloha Exhange

Surfing Hanalei Bay

Yoga at Waves Yoga Kauai

Acai Bowls at Wishing Well Shaved Ice

Dinner at Duke’s

Oahu.

The land of Waikiki, hang ten, poke bowls and aloha vibes!  We definitely got out longboard fix here, staying at the beautiful Alohilani resort, conveniently located right in front of one of the prettiest breaks along the beach, Queens. You’ll easily spot some of Hawaiis best long boarding groms and it’s quite a treat to watch them do their thing all day. The mythical north shore is just a short drive away, the beaches definitely lived up to their reputation, and gave me ample space to stretch and get some much needed yoga done! (Endless Poke and Acai Bowls definitely take a toll on your body!)
